The operator started to update the gadget to spice cake. The new Android 2.3.6 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 finally released in Poland under Play carriers. This is the third firmware build in 2012 after from previous released P1000AIJQ1 in Italy and P1000XWJQ8 in Germany. This firmware is still packed in Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread (not Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich).

Android 2.3 Gingerbread Upgrade for Sprint Galaxy Tab

The 2.3 Gingerbread update is now out for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch users.
The said update will roll out for 4 days until it reaches all Sprint Galaxy tab subscribers.

The said firmware version is: Baseband S:P100.08 S.EF17, Build GINGERBREAD.EF17 and the downloading time will take approximately around 5 minutes.

These packages can be install and flash manually to to Iconia A500. You may just select the right fimware version of your phone like for example if your A500 16GB wifi only phone currently running 1.104.02 you can flashed the OTA update version 1.144.07.

How to flash?
- You have to download Acer Update Decryter to decrypt these firmware.
- Once the file is already decrypted, Extract the update.zip from it,
- Copy it to external SDCard (does not work on internal memory)
- Boot your Iconia A500 tablet by pressing Volume Down & Power. Then update will be launch automatically. Read the full guides at XDA-developer for further instruction.
